Three Days of Darkness

If God does not chastise the world, He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.

Although this page remains up, in considering several things, it is quite probable that much of what is presented here is misinterpreted.

This page is devoted to presenting the evidence available on the Three Days of Darkness.

First of all we know that it will last for three days. Two say that the morning sun will be replaced by darkness, and one prophecy indicates it will occur at 7am on a Wednesday morning. Jesus tells us that the sun and moon will be darkened as does the prophet Joel. This event is also known as the Day of the Lord in Sacred Scripture. And we should not desire the Day of the Lord.

We are advised to have blessed candles, but that they will not burn in the houses of the unjust. Therefore we must become just as well. It would be good to heed the advice of Jesus: “Behold thou art made whole: sin no more, lest some worse thing happen to thee.” 1

Several prophets connect an earthquake with the Three Days of Darkness. Read Apocalypse 16. The ninth verse tells us: “And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who hath power over these plagues, neither did they penance to give him glory.” And after the next plague we read: “And they blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains and wounds, and did not penance for their works.” We have been struck by a tsunami, hurricanes and earthquakes. Has anyone done penance for their sins? Have we done penance for our sins?

Three private prophets indicate that three quarters of mankind will be destroyed, while Sacred Scripture says two thirds. Also we read that for every man that survives seven women will survive. We are told that the world will become an immense cemetery and this will be a problem in the cities.

Saint Hildegard talks about the United States being hit hard prior to the Three Days of Darkness. “The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided and in great part be submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the East through a Tiger and a Lion.” Therese Neumann was a German stigmatist and mystic, who for many years did not sleep and lived without food or liquids except for the daily Eucharist. When asked by an American GI if the United States would ever be destroyed or invaded in a war, her answer was: ‘No, but at the end of this century America will be destroyed economically by a series of NATURAL DISASTERS.’ 2 There are natural disasters poised to occur. There is a fault line off of the northwest Pacific coast, which is a hundred years over due to set off an earthquake followed by a tsunami. The north west coast of the United States and the Vancouver area will go under water for a time, and this will cause great devastation. We have already had several hurricanes, the worst being Katrina. Along the Mississippi River lies the New Madrid fault line. A major earthquake along this fault would drop the bridges across the Mississippi, dividing the United States. Consider the people and freight that cross this river daily.

In Apocalypse we read: “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine, and she shall be burnt with the fire; because God is strong, who shall judge her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication, and lived in delicacies with her, shall weep, and bewail themselves over her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning: Standing afar off for fear of her torments, saying: Alas! alas! that great city Babylon, that mighty city: for in one hour is thy judgment come.” 3 Does Babylon stand for the United States, which has controlled the world economy for decades? Read all of Apocalypse 18 and much of it sounds like the demise of an economic super power.
