As I am moving forward, I am finding some prayers that may be helpful. However, we must remember that prayers are more than just words that fall from our lips. “And the Lord said: Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips glorify me, but their heart is far from me, and they have feared me with the commandment and doctrines of men:” [Isaias (Isaiah) 29:13] Prayers must come from the heart. And so, please take time to meditate on what these prayers say before you begin to pray them. Take the words and concepts to heart and make them a part of your life. We should do the same with the Our Father and Hail Mary. In fact, let us remember a third of our Catechism is based upon the Apostle’s Creed.
